The story

The first player to score five goals in a PSL match, James Chamanga (for Moroka Swallows back in 2007), has taken time to congratulate the second player to do so, Stellenbosch's Rayners.

Rayners scored all five goals in Stellies' demolition of Polokwane City on Saturday evening, seeing him shoot up to the top of the league's goalscoring charts with 13 goals.

The Bafana Bafana striker scored three times with his right foot and twice with his left, with four of his goals coming in a 17-minute blitz in the second half.

"Hi my bru, I don't how to express my happiness and my joy. Rayners from Stellenbosch, I know you don't me personally, maybe you know me as the former Swallows player who scored five goals in one game.

"I wanted to congratulate and say well done, you have done it. After 17 years, you have matched my record. My brother, I want to say keep going, I want to wish you well and you can break even more records. Keep going and keep pushing. God bless you, I wish you the best for the rest of the season," says Chamanga.

The retired Zambian international, like Rayners, played for SuperSport United as well as the now defunct Bush Bucks, ending his time in Mzansi with Moroka Swallows.

Chamanga managed 20 goals in 43 DStv Premiership matches from 2005 until 2008, after moving to Bush Bucks from Zambian outfit, Zanaco FC.
