Young Africans have been hit with a second FIFA ban after failing to pay a former Kaizer Chiefs star.

After being served with a transfer ban earlier this year, a major African club has officially been hit with a second FIFA suspension after failing to pay a former Kaizer Chiefs star's wages.

Following their elimination from the CAF Champions League, Young Africans were slapped with a suspension stopping them from signing players after they were found guilty of irregularities pertaining to player registration.

The case is believed to still be pending further disciplinary action from world football's governing body, but while they await a definitive verdict regarding that matter, the Tanzanian juggernauts have landed themselves in more hot water.

Following a difficult stint at Naturena, Lazarous Kambole left Chiefs to sign for the Tanzanian Premier League champions in 2022.

However, he would also struggle for game time in Dar es Salaam as he did not make a competitive appearance for Yanga, eventually signing for Zambian giants ZESCO United on loan six months after arriving in east Africa.

Kambole is still at ZESCO United today, but the Jangwani Street giants are believed to still not have paid the player his wages or signing-on fee.

The 17-cap Zambia international lodged a complaint with FIFA about not being compensated in full during his time at Yanga, and following an investigation, the Switzerland-based body have found the allegations to be true, leading to the subsequent ban.

"NBC Premier League club Young Africans SC has been banned from registering players until they pay their former player Lazarus Kambole," a statement from the Tanzanian Football Federation read, as per The Guardian.

"The decision has been made by the International Football Federation (FIFA) after Kambole won his cases against the club.
