Willard Katsande: 7/10
The Amakhosi midfield hard-man played with a lot of energy and was sublime defensively in his 200th match for the Glamour Boys.
Lorenzo Gordinho: 6.5/10
Gordinho gave a master performance at the back, almost giving nothing away. He timed his tackles to perfection, a huge improvement from his last game.
Siphiwe Tshabalala: 7/10
Tshabalala showed his class once again. He was involved in almost every Chiefs attack and he opened the scoring with a composed finish.
Itumeleng Khune: 7.5/10
Khune was impressive on his return to the Chiefs side. He produced a number of fine saves in the second half, which saw clinch the Man of the Match award.
Wiseman Meyiwa: 7/10
The teenager had the nerve to compete on his debut. His composure in scoring the second goal for Amakhosi bellied his age. Meyiwa also made his presence felt in the middle of the park against experienced campaigners.
Robyn Johannes: 6.5/10
The Citizens skipper was unlucky to end on the losing side. He gave a hearty performance throughout the 90 minuts.
Ayanda Patosi: 4/10
Started off brightly, but faded as the match went on, and he only looked threatening from dead-ball situations.
Vincent Kobola: 4/10
The veteran defender had a tought time against his former teammate Bongolethu Jayiya on his right wing.
Lyle Lakay: 4/10
Lakay lost too many balls in midfield and never looked to be in a game. His crossing was also not its usual best.
Sibusiso Masina: 4/10
Replaced Modise after 17 minutes. He put in the hard work, but could not offer a real threat going forward.
